TeacherActive are excited to be working with a dynamic and vibrant secondary school in the Torbay area, who are looking for an English Teacher to join their team for the new academic year. The Senior Leadership Team are looking for an English Teacher with a strong classroom presence, high expectations of behaviour, and secure subject knowledge, on a full time, permanent basis. You will need to make a positive contribution to the wider life and ethos of the school, contribute to the design and provision of an engaging curriculum, and know how and when to differentiate appropriately.

The successful English Teacher will need to:

• Hold QTS with an English specialism and have a minimum 6 months' experience within a secondary school setting (ECTs are also encouraged to apply)
• Have experience teaching across Key Stage 3 / KS3, Key Stage 4 / KS4, and Key Stage 5 / KS5
• Be accountable for pupils' attainment, progress and outcomes
• Create an engaging and stimulating learning environment
• Encourage pupils to take responsibility for their own work and study
• Make a positive contribution to the wider school life and ethos
