Engage Education is currently working with a mainstream Secondary school in Barking and Dagenham which is expanding and looking for an experienced Teacher of Science to take on the role of Head of Key Stage 3 Science. This is a permanent post in an expanding secondary school in Barking and Dagenham and would suit an experienced teacher looking for their first leadership role or a current Head of Key Stage who is looking for a fresh challenge.

The incoming Head of Key Stage 3 Science will be expected to deliver dynamic lessons that stretch their classes and encourage a passion for the subject. You will have the ambition to lead CPD and bring new ideas to the department whilst developing the curriculum for Key Stage 3 Science.

Key Information:

• Area: Barking and Dagenham
• Salary Expectations: (Inner London) M1-UPS3 + TLR
• Middle Leaders receive dedicated fast track support to go on to become senior leaders within the school.
• Departmental meetings all happen on timetable to provide staff with better work-life balance by reducing the need to stay after school

You must:

• Hold QTS
• Have at least 4 years of experience delivering Science across the full age, gender and ability range, in a secondary school
• Have a proven background of developing teaching and learning within a Science department at Key Stage 3.
