Position Overview: As a Special Educational Needs Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality education and support to students with special educational needs. Working closely with a dedicated team of educators and support staff, you will create engaging and individualised learning experiences that cater to the unique needs and abilities of each student.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver differentiated lessons and learning activities that cater to the diverse needs of students with special educational needs.
  • Develop and implement individualised education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with colleagues and external professionals.
  • Collaborate effectively with teachers, therapist's and other staff members to promote student progress and well-being.
  • Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly to ensure continued growth and development.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress, behaviour, and achievements in line with school policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching students with special educational needs preferred.
  • Sound knowledge of SEND legislation, policies, and best practices in special education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and families.
  • Resilience, patience, and empathy in working with students facing diverse challenges and barriers to learning.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and a passion for making a difference in the field of special education.
