Location: S5 area of Sheffield

Start Date: Wednesday 1st May

Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm Monday to Friday

Contract Type: Full-time, until the end of the school term

Salary: £85 - £95 per day (dependent on experience)

About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Level 3 Qualified Teaching Assistant to join our Nursery team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the early years development of our children, fostering a positive learning environment, and ensuring each child receives the attention and care they deserve.

Key Responsibilities:

* Assist in the planning and delivery of activities that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children in the Nursery.
* Support the class teacher in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies.
* Provide pastoral care and emotional support to children, fostering a nurturing and inclusive atmosphere.
* Assist with the supervision of children during meal times, outdoor play, and other activities.
* Collaborate with colleagues and parents to ensure the holistic development of each child.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

* Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education (e.g., CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education)
* Experience working as a Teaching Assistant in an Early Years setting, preferably within a Nursery environment
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, colleagues, and parents
* Knowledge of child development theories and best practices in early years education
* Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with young children
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently when required
* Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
