Job Title: Outreach Tutor
Location: Barnet
Salary Scale: £25 per hour
Start Date: May 2024

GSL Education London is currently looking for a 1 on 1 Outreach Tutor for one of its client schools located in Barnet. This is an OFSTED rated ‘Good’ school with a provision for SEN/SEMH students. The school seeks someone who would be capable of tutoring 1-3 students per day on a 1-1 basis. The ideal person would be teaching English and Maths to students with ASD. The Outreach Tutor should be teaching students at a Primary level.

The Outreach Tutor would:

• Have knowledge in English and Maths
• Work with pupils who have social, emotional and mental health difficulties
• Build strong and reliable relationship with them in order to attain desirable results in imparting knowledge
• Be comfortable and confident to provide 1 on 1 support
• Make lessons enjoyable as per the learner’s need
• Identify challenges and cater the curriculum accordingly
• Help pupils develop their communication and life skills
• Maintain a positive attitude and make the students feel comfortable during class activities

Mandatory Requirements:

• The Right to Work in the UK
• An enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application through us
• Two professional child related references
• An updated CV
