TeacherActive are looking for a full time LSA / TA  (Learning Support Assistant / Teaching Assistant) in SHEFFIELD !!

The role is for a specialist secondary school in Sheffield that has children with complex learning difficulties and physical needs. The school focuses on active hands on learning and supports each child with their own individual needs, making the TA role a very rewarding and important part of the children's learning experience.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to teaching staff in creating a safe, purposeful, and stimulating learning environment rooted in mutual respect.
  • Assist in implementing strategies for behaviour management, utilizing praise, sanctions, and rewards consistently and fairly.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues to identify opportunities for sharing effective practices and supporting the development of students.
  • Work as a team member to contribute to the overall development and success of the school community.
  • Demonstrate consistently high standards of personal conduct and professionalism in line with school expectations.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with individuals with severe learning difficulties is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Commitment to creating inclusive and supportive learning environments for all students.
  • Passion for supporting and inspiring young learners to reach their full potential.
  • Willingness to undergo relevant training and professional development as required.
