Position Overview:
As a SEN Behaviour Teacher, you will play a crucial role in creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students with SEN. You will work closely with students, parents, and other members of the school community to develop and implement effective strategies for managing and improving behaviour.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide targeted and differentiated instruction to meet the unique learning needs of students with SEN, focusing on behaviour management and social skills development.
  2. Collaborate with the SEN team to develop and implement Individualised Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour intervention plans tailored to each student's requirements.
  3. Utilise positive behaviour reinforcement techniques to motivate and encourage students, fostering a positive and respectful learning environment.
  4. Work closely with other teachers, support staff, and parents to share insights, strategies, and progress related to the behaviour management of SEN students.
  5. Stay abreast of the latest research and best practices in SEN education and behaviour management, attending relevant training sessions and workshops to continually enhance your skills.


Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialisation in Special Educational Needs.
  • Proven experience working with students with behavioural challenges.
  • Strong understanding of various SEN conditions and their impact on behaviour.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
