Roles and Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with the class teacher to guide and support teaching and learning activities, prioritising the holistic development of children in a secure learning environment.
• Provide personalised assistance to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), implementing established programs, adhering to specific guidelines, and encouraging independent learning.
• Establish effective communication and cooperation among teachers, parents, and colleagues to strengthen the connection between the school and home.
• Under the teacher's guidance, actively observe, assess, aid and document students' work, and contribute to the implementation of behaviour management strategies consistent with school policies.
• Take on various general responsibilities, including active involvement in staff meetings, overseeing children's well-being, managing administrative tasks, and offering support in curriculum-related duties as required.

Requirements:

• Relevant NVQ2 or equivalent
• Experience working in a classroom- Minimum 1 year experience as a teaching/classroom assistant
• Current knowledge and comprehension of education practices and procedures pertaining to the welfare, safety, and education of children
• Ability to create positive relationships with both children and adults
• An adaptable, motivated and emotionally resilient team player
