Teaching Assistant

We are supporting a friendly, community-oriented primary school in the Warrington area who require a Teaching Assistant to take up an initial temporary contract within key stage 1.
The role will be to start as soon as possible and offers a competitive daily rate of up to £115 ltd for experienced staff.
Duties:
- Supporting a number of classes across key stage one
- Providing HLTA cover during PPA time
- Working closely with the class teachers in order to ensure children are appropriately assessed and their learning needs are met
- Delivering lessons planned and prepared by the class teachers
- Marking work reguarly and ensuring books and floor books are up to date
Requirements:
- Recent UK based experience of providing teaching assistant support to primary school aged children
- Strong knowledge of the national curriculum
- An understanding of classroom procedures and how children learn
- A flexible, caring and adaptive approach to their work
