The school 

• Based in Hexham
• Rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted
• For children aged from 2 to 19 years old
• Students are diagnosed with ASD, PMLD and have EHCP’s
• Some students require assistance with toileting
• A warm, welcoming and caring school

 The role 

• Working Monday to Friday
• Supporting children with Autism
• Supporting children of various ages and abilities
• Some 1-2-1 and whole class support required
• Assisting with lunchtime and breaks
• Some personal care required
• Providing emotional and curriculum support

You

• Will have a minimum of 3 months experience in a school or working with children
• Will hold a CACHE Level 2 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or higher/equivalent (not essential)
• Will have special needs experience particularly with Autism
• Will be comfortable supporting varying needs
• Will be comfortable working with children of various ages
• Will be caring and patient
• Will have the ability to build strong rapport with students
• Will be comfortable and confident when supporting with personal care
