Job Description:

As an EYFS Supply Teacher with ABC Teachers, you will have the opportunity to work across different early years settings, including nurseries, preschools, and reception classes. You will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality early childhood education, promoting a nurturing and stimulating environment, and supporting children's holistic development during teacher absences or staffing shortages.

You can choose your working days, however on the days you can work you must be available from 08:30 - 15:30.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engaging children in age-appropriate learning activities that promote their physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development.
  • Creating a safe, welcoming, and inclusive learning environment where children feel valued, supported, and encouraged to explore and learn.
  • Implementing the EYFS curriculum, including planning and delivering activities that support the seven areas of learning and development.
  • Building positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues, and communicating effectively to ensure continuity of care and education.
  • Observing and assessing children's progress, identifying individual needs and interests, and adapting teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Maintaining accurate records of children's development, progress, and well-being in line with statutory requirements and school policies.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) 
  • Experience working in an early years setting, preferably with children aged 0-5 years.
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of the EYFS framework, developmental milestones, and best practices in early childhood education.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage and interact effectively with young children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Patience, creativity, and a genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their learning and development.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in different early years settings and collaborate with diverse teams.
