Career Teachers are working in partnership with a secondary school in Swadlincote, Derbyshire to recruit a Teacher of Maths on a permanent basis from September 2024.

This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to develop their skills and future career in a vibrant and innovative Secondary School. This academy is an 11-16 school in a small town close to the Peak District and near to the cities of Derby and Nottingham. We are looking to appoint an inspiring and enthusiastic Teacher of Maths to join and further strengthen our small specialist team. We are delighted to be part of the school rebuilding programme; we move into purpose built temporary accommodation on site in the Autumn Term and to the permanent new build in 2027.

Working with our planned curriculum, the right candidate will engage and inspire our students, allowing them to make outstanding progress and achieve strong results. We offer a wide range of professional development opportunities and are in the process of joining the Lionheart Trust giving wider opportunities for support and sharing good practice. We have a track record of recognising potential and developing leadership within school with internal promotion and other opportunities.
