School Cleaner

GSL Education are seeking a hard-working and dedicated a School Cleaner to work in our friendly school within Dudley and surrounding areas. You will work as part as a team, undertaking various cleaning duties throughout the school to ensure our children’s learning environment is always clean.

We are looking for someone who can do part time hours and to start immediately Monday to Friday, you can either work  6.00am - 8.00am and / or 3.15pm-5.15pm. (20 hours or 10 hours a week) during school term time. This is a long term to permanent contract.

Responsibilities:

• Experience of similar work within school or offices
• Ability to work constructively as part of a team
• Good organising and prioritising skills
• Ability to keep accurate cleaning records
• Evidence of a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
• Ability to work flexibly to suit school needs
• Duties to include dusting, vacuuming, mopping, emptying bins, cleaning of toilets, classrooms and school offices.

Requirements:

• Must be able to apply for a new DBS via GSL Education (not on the update service)
• Must be able to commit and be a reliable member of staff to the school.
• Some knowledge of Health and Safety Regulation in regards to cleaning equipment and cleaning materials (COSHH)
• Ability to work effectively and supportively as a member of the school team and able to work with minimum supervision.
