Salary Scale:  £110 - £185 per day

About the Role:

GSL Education are actively seeking a Science Teacher for immediate placement at Client Schools in Northumberland. The School is looking for someone who can start ASAP.We welcome applications from all teachers who feel that they can add value to an already flourishing department and whom can prosper in a highly effective, fast-paced environment.

Science Teacher Role:

• Within the context of the school's curriculum and schemes of work, plan and teach lessons to the classes they are assigned to teach
• To maintain a thorough and up-to-date knowledge of the teaching of mainly Science (Physics, Chemistry and Biology).
• Assess, monitor, record and report on the learning needs, progress and achievements of assigned pupils
• Contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of the school’s policies, practices and procedures in such a way as to support the school’s values, ethos and vision
• Setting and marking of regular homework

The successful candidate will:

• Be a qualified  Teacher (ideally with PGCE, GTP, B'ed, Cert Ed, BA with QTS)
• Must have previous experience as a Science Teacher in a  School
• Understanding of teaching, learning and assessment strategies
• Will collaborate within the Science team to contribute to the department's success
• Have an understanding of the curriculum and factors contributing to the learning experience of pupils
• Must have an enhanced child workforce DBS or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education
