Milk Education are working in partnership with a Special Educational Needs school in Tower Hamlets who specifically cater for children with ASC and are seeking a highly effective and enthusiastic SEN Teacher to support the school in a range of sensory and therapeutic interventions and multi-disciplinary approach to meeting the needs of students.

The successful candidate will believe in the importance for students to achieve their full potential and offer a rich and stimulating curriculum that supports student learning in a well-established special school. The role will include working closely with expert support staff, as well as building relationships with parents, governors and the wider community.

The role:

* Ensuring that student learning experiences meet the needs of individuals and groups, promoting progression and quality of learning.
* To demonstrate a strong level of commitment to safeguarding vulnerable children and young people.
* Provide relevant classroom management strategies to ensure an impactful environment for teaching and learning to take place
* Develop independence in our SEN students using metacognitive strategies to help them become self-regulated learners.

The ideal candidate will have:

* A relevant teaching qualification.
* The ability to communicate effectively within a team.
* Experience of working with children with Special Education Needs (SEN)
* Excellent time management and to be able to assess behavioural situations and take appropriate actions.
* The ability to promote positive behaviour in a nurturing environment is essential.
