Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teaching Assistant

Location: Northamptonshire

We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teaching Assistant to join our pool of talented education professionals. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work within a variety of schools across Northamptonshire, supporting EYFS educators in delivering engaging and enriching learning experiences for children aged 3-5.

Key Responsibilities:
* Assist EYFS teachers in the planning and delivery of stimulating and developmentally appropriate learning activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage framework.
* Provide one-to-one and small group support to children to enhance their learning and development across all areas of the curriculum.
* Foster positive relationships with children, colleagues, and parents to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
* Contribute to the assessment of children's progress and assist in the preparation of progress reports and observations.
* Support the creation and maintenance of inviting and well-resourced indoor and outdoor learning environments.
* Uphold safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times.

Qualifications and Experience:
* Minimum of Level 2 qualification in Early Years Education or Childcare (NVQ, CACHE, or equivalent).
* Previous experience working with children in an early years setting is highly desirable.
* Sound knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework and principles of child development.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and colleagues.
* A proactive and adaptable approach to supporting children's individual needs and learning styles.
* Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to undergo clearance) is essential.
