Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Mechanics Tutor to join our team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective mechanics lessons to Key Stage 3 and 4 students, many of whom present with challenging behavior. This role presents a unique opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people who require additional support and guidance.

Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver high-quality mechanics lessons in line with the national curriculum and individual student needs.
Adapt teaching methods and resources to accommodate the diverse learning styles and abilities of students with challenging behavior.
Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and respected.
Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to facilitate their academic development.
Collaborate with colleagues and external stakeholders to ensure the holistic well-being and academic success of students.
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, behavior, and academic performance.
Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching mechanics, or significant experience teaching mechanics in a relevant educational setting.
Proven experience working with Key Stage 3 and 4 students with challenging behavior, demonstrating a compassionate and empathetic approach.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/guardians.
Adaptability and resilience, with the ability to effectively manage challenging situations and respond to the individual needs of students.
Commitment to continuous professional development and a willingness to engage in training and reflective practice.
