Exciting job opportunity for a Nurture Teacher to work with KS4 pupils with complex needs at one of our schools in the Mitcham area.

Position: Nurture Teacher
Location: Mitcham area
Contract: Full-time, on-site at one of our complex needs schools
Key Stage: Primarily KS4
Hours: 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM (to be confirmed)
Salary: Paid according to teaching scale (£180 - £240 per day)

Roles and Responsibilities:

* Develop and implement nurturing strategies to support the social and emotional needs of KS4 pupils with complex needs
* Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the individual needs of students, focusing on academic and personal development
* Create a safe and inclusive learning environment conducive to positive behaviour management
* Collaborate with colleagues, SENCOs, and support staff to ensure the holistic development of students
* Maintain accurate records of student progress, behaviour, and achievements
* Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and other professional development activities as required

Requirements:

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Experience or willingness to work with students with behaviour difficulties and complex needs
* Understanding of SEN, particularly complex needs
* Possession of an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service

We are looking for someone who is not only a trained teacher but also possesses resilience and robustness to handle challenging behaviours effectively. While a background in SEN is not mandatory, a genuine passion for making a positive difference in the lives of vulnerable young people is essential.
