We are Recruiting for Teaching Assistants for Schools a school in Cardiff
Are you a compassionate and dedicated individual with a passion for supporting the mental well-being of students? Tradewind Recruitment is actively seeking experienced Mental Health Teaching Assistants to join our team in both Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Mainstream settings on a long-term basis.
Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Emotional Support: Provide one-on-one and group support to students, fostering a positive and nurturing environment.
2. Collaborative Planning: Work closely with teachers to develop and implement strategies that support the mental health and well-being of students.
3. Behavioural Intervention: Implement effective behaviour management techniques, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning space.
4. Crisis Intervention (if applicable): Respond to and manage situations that require immediate attention, supporting students in times of crisis.
5. Progress Monitoring: Monitor and record the emotional and academic progress of students, collaborating with the wider educational team.
Requirements:
1. Relevant Qualifications: Possess qualifications or experience in mental health support or related fields.
2. Empathy and Compassion: Demonstrate a deep understanding and empathy for students facing mental health challenges.
3. Effective Communication: Communicate sensitively with students, staff, and parents to facilitate a supportive network.
4. Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to provide holistic support.
5. Adaptability: Be flexible and adaptive to the evolving needs of students and the school environment.
6. Enhanced DBS Check: Successful candidates must undergo an enhanced DBS check.
