Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of disengaged, at-risk, and vulnerable young people? GSL Education is seeking a dedicated Curriculum Leader to drive the English and Maths (KS1-KS4) quality of a local school in Southampton.

About the Role:

  • Lead and manage Maths and English departments, including curriculum development and lesson resourcing
  • Drive up standards of teaching and learning and pupil progress
  • Engage staff in creating and implementing Schemes of Work and Curriculum Intent documents
  • Utilize current teaching pedagogy and research across the school
  • Support with Curriculum Intent Learning Walks, Book Looks, and appraisals

Ideal Candidate:

  • Ability to teach up to GCSE in English and/or Maths (consideration given to other subject specialisms)
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and commitment to whole school impact
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in using Schools BI data platform
  • Ability to engage staff in collaborative curriculum development
  • Understanding of Trauma Informed Approach and Nurture philosophy
