Job Opportunity: Special Education Needs Teaching Assistant.

We're currently seeking a dedicated Special Education Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to join our dynamic team at a thriving KS2 class in Denton. As an SEN TA, you'll play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of children with diverse needs, helping them to achieve their full potential in a nurturing and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with Special Educational Needs, including but not limited to autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and other learning challenges.
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored lessons and activities that cater to individual learning requirements.
  • Foster a positive and supportive learning environment where every child feels valued and empowered to succeed.
  • Collaborate with fellow staff members and external professionals to implement personalised learning plans and interventions.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the class teacher to inform future planning.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children with Special Educational Needs is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the educational journey of children with diverse needs.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing demands of the classroom environment.
  • Relevant qualifications and certifications in education or special education are advantageous but not essential.
