As a Year 2 ECT at this school in Kings Heath,, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the educational development of students during this important stage of their learning journey. Working closely with experienced teachers, the Year 2 ECT will share the timetable and collaborate to deliver engaging and enriching lessons aligned with the National Curriculum for Year 2.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • The Year 2 ECT will assist in planning and delivering lessons that meet the diverse needs of students, focusing on the core subjects of English, Mathematics, Science, and Foundation subjects.
  • They will provide one-on-one and small group support to students, offering guidance and assistance to help them achieve their learning goals.
  • Together with colleagues, they will assess student progress, track attainment, and implement strategies to address areas for improvement.
  • Participation in regular training and professional development opportunities as part of the ECT induction will be required, supported by the experienced team of educators.
  • A passion for education and a commitment to providing high-quality learning experiences for all students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
  • A thorough understanding of the National Curriculum for Year 2 and the ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners.
