As Lead Trainer/IQA, you will be responsible for the delivery and quality assurance of all programmes delivered. Managing a team of trainers and implementing high-quality coaching and assessment strategies whilst also adhering to quality assurance processes that validate the quality of induction, progress delivery and EPA support.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all delivery plans (schemes of work) to ensure they meet the requirements of the awarding body and funding rules whilst ensuring they inspire, motivate, support all learners
  • You will inspire, motivate, support and challenge the team to constantly improve, develop and evaluate their teaching and assessment practice
  • Deliver to a caseload of learners to ensure you keep up with best practice and qualification delivery methods
  • You will be responsible for driving progression across all programmes
  • You will be responsible for completing all quarterly EILP for all learners, identifying gaps, slow progress whilst also celebrating success
  • Complete timely IQA activity of all programmes both electronic and paper based
  • Undertake bimonthly standardisation meetings
  • Complete annual observations of teaching and assessment practice
  • Plan and monitor CPD and staff development
  • The role will centre around all programme quality assurance and compliance processes, governance structures and reporting, the audit compliance, and the relationships with regulators.
  • Lead and maintain full compliance across the Quality & Delivery function meeting all ESFA funding and regulatory requirements.
  • Help define apprenticeship and Traineeship coaching approach, using innovative, engaging and digitally-led learning, and ensure consistent high quality delivery of this to each and every apprentice.
  • Ensure the internal quality processes are developed and conducted to the required standard.
  • Critically review and validate reports and judgements across all Quality assurance activity including but not limited to sampling and observations.
  • Drive continuous improvement across programme delivery, coaching and assessment activity
  • Contribute and build on end point assessment (EPA) strategy and ensure implementation.
  • Host regular quality and compliance meetings to celebrate success, share good practice, address developments and provide updates as required.
  • Promote a culture of continuous quality improvement/CPD through setting robust quality improvement objectives with managers and monitoring progress to ensure achievement.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Certificate of Education or equivalent
  • IQA Certificate
  • Experienced background within Pharmaceutical Apprenticeships/Education
  • Experience of leading teams and managing staff
  • Experience of resource planning and management
  • Detailed understanding and experience of apprenticeship, Traineeship and Adult Skills programmes delivery
  • Experience of overseeing and leading effective quality assurance and compliance across the delivery function, and as a result driving overall quality performance along with improved learner experiences, outcomes and progression towards career aspirations
  • Experience of delivering consistently outstanding coaching
  • Strong communications skills and ability to influence senior stakeholders
  • Experience of KPI Management and data analysis
  • Experience of client management including presentation skills
  • Knowledge of Safeguarding / prevent requirements
