GI Group are now seeking to appoint an Apprenticeships Skills Tutor (Motor Vehicle) to our education sector client based in Rotherham. The Apprenticeship Skills Tutor in Motor Vehicle would support and enhance the apprentice and employer experience through effective skills coaching and tutoring. They will be a subject matter specialist in Motor Vehicle and will be required to teach & coaching learners who need varied assessments and assignments to be carried out on the Level 2 and Level 3 motor vehicle programmes to pass their end point assessment.

Main Duties of the Apprenticeship Skills Tutor Motor Vehicle

• Teaching & coaching learners who need varied assessments and assignments to be carried out on the Level 2 and Level 3 motor vehicle programmes to pass their end point assessment.
• Regular use of e-portfolios & carrying out on-site performance reviews, teaching and assessments to ensure the next generation of mechanical professionals are the very best. Using your excellent IT skills, you will maintain accurate records of student progress via tracking systems and e-portfolios.
• Support learners to provide evidence on behaviours, underpinning knowledge, workbased skills, learning & overall progress for each apprentice.
• Work with curriculum colleagues to check learner progress is to agreed targets in preparation of tripartite reviews.
• To support employers in understanding & documenting their responsibilities relating to on and off job training requirements of the apprentice.
• To provide advice, guidance & training regarding Safeguarding, British Values, Prevent and Equality & Diversity and be responsible for ensuring that the workplace provides an ongoing safe environment.

Criteria

• Experience in creating and delivering programmes within the motor vehicle sector.
• An Assessor Award.
• Be a highly qualified individual within the motor vehicle sector and have current experience working within industry.
• A teaching qualification at level 3.
• An IQA qualification is desirable.
• Excellent IT skills.
• UK Drivers Licence and access to own vehicle for work.
• An assessment qualification D32/D33 A1 or TAQA (or willingness to work towards)
• An internal verification qualification D34 V1 or TAQA (or willingness to work towards)
