We are working with a fantastic inclusive mixed secondary school in Plumstead, southeast London. Who are seeking a new dynamic, passionate English Teacher to start as soon as possible. The English department at the school are committed to developing a lifelong love of language and literature delivered within the context of their students and the world in which they live. Through the school’s choice of inclusive, challenging, and complex texts which enable the students to develop the skills necessary to respond critically to information both in an educational setting and in the wider world. The school builds confidence, independence and resilience giving learners the ability to articulate both orally and in writing.

As a successful candidate working for Teaching Personnel, you will need the following skills and attributes:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be a Newly Qualified Teacher (NQT)/Early Career Teacher(ECT) with a relevant English qualification.
  • Be capable of delivering Key Stage 3 & 4-Experience of teaching Key Stage 5 is beneficial but not essential
  • The experience to plan, prepare and teach the constantly evolving curriculum
  • Excellent classroom management
  • Strong communication skills
  • Great time management skills, someone who is reliable and flexible
  • Ideally worked with children in the last 5 years
  • Right to work in the UK.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
