Position: Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant

Location: Brent, West London

Work Hours: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM, Term Time

Salary Range: £80-£90 per day (Experience-dependent)

Contract: Full-Time, Long Term

Role Summary: A reputable school in Brent is in search of a dedicated Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant to join their team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting student's academic and emotional growth, focusing on delivering interventions to ensure each child realizes their potential.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement targeted interventions to support students' learning in Key Stage 2.
  • Collaborate closely with class teachers to execute individualized education plans (IEPs) and monitor progress.
  • Provide one-to-one or small group assistance to students, addressing specific learning objectives.
  • Contribute to the development and adaptation of resources to facilitate intervention activities.
  • Cultivate a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and external professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student development.
  • Maintain accurate records of intervention sessions and student progress, communicating effectively with stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Desirable experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a Key Stage 2 environment. Possession of relevant qualifications, such as CACHE Level 3 or equivalent, is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/guardians.
  • Exhibit patience and empathy in supporting students with diverse learning needs.
  • Display flexibility, adaptability, and a willingness to contribute to the broader school community.
  • Essential possession of Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain).
