Hours of Work: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM, Term Time
Pay Scale: £80-£90 per day (Depending on Experience)

Role Overview: Our client, a reputable school in Brent, is seeking a dedicated Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant to join their team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the academic and emotional development of students, with a particular focus on conducting interventions to ensure every child reaches their full potential.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver targeted interventions to support pupils' learning needs in Key Stage 1.
  • Work closely with the class teacher to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and monitor progress.
  • Provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils, addressing specific learning goals and objectives.
  • Assist in the creation and adaptation of resources to support intervention activities.
  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where all pupils feel valued and supported.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and external professionals to ensure a holistic approach to pupil development.
  • Maintain accurate records of intervention sessions and pupil progress, communicating effectively with stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a Key Stage 1 setting is desirable.
  • Possession of relevant qualifications, such as CACHE Level 3 or equivalent, is advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues, and parents/carers.
  • A patient and empathetic approach to supporting pupils with diverse learning needs.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and a willingness to contribute to the wider school community.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain) is essential.
