Student Behaviour Administrator

V-Recruit are excited to be working in partnership with one of the UKs most forward thinking, recognised and respected Multi-Academy Trusts to recruit a Student Behaviour Administrator/Consequences Coordinator for their Doncaster Secondary Academies.

This is a full time, permanent role

Term time only, plus 5 days with an actual salary of £19,715.61.

37 hours per week, 8am – 4pm Monday -Thursday, 8am – 3:30pm Friday

The overall purpose of this role is to, work under the direction of senior staff, coordinate the support provision for students who need help in overcoming barriers to learning and developing their potential by raising standards of behaviour for learning.

Duties to include:

  • Contacting parents and informing them of student’s behaviour, consequences, or exclusions as part of effective lines of communication between the academy and home
  • Administering appropriate sanctions
  • Monitoring the behaviour and progress of these students
  • Supporting parents and students in crisis, liaising with identified personnel
  • Arranging for units of work and/or specific skills development with individual students to be provided
  • To liaise with parents, outside agencies, education welfare and the police regarding confidential/sensitive information and complex issues
  • To provide information, reports, and analysis on student behaviour
  • To maintain the Consequences Room to ensure it provides an appropriate environment for students
  • Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young persons responsible for or come into contact with
  • Be aware of, support and ensure equal opportunities for all
  • Attend and participate in relevant meetings as required
  • Dealing with any immediate problems or emergencies according to the academy’s policies and procedures

The chosen candidate will have

  • Level 2 qualifications in English & Maths
  • The ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences whilst respecting and maintaining confidentiality
  • The ability to relate to students in a pleasant and sympathetic manner, and recognise potential child safeguarding issues
  • Excellent time management and organisation skills
  • The ability to use standard ICT packages including Microsoft Office

Ideally, we are looking for a candidate who is experienced in working in a school environment, although we recognise that other occupations will give transferrable experience and skills so we welcome applications from candidates from other, similar backgrounds.
