About the Role:

GSL Education is collaborating with a warm and inclusive school in Scunthorpe, actively searching for a dedicated and full-time SEND Teaching Assistant for a permanent role. We are looking for someone with a passion for supporting diverse learners and have expertise working with students who have Special Educational Needs and Autism.

SEND Teaching Assistant Role:

• Hands-on experience supporting SEN and autism within a school environment.
• A passion-fuelled, dedicated educator with the ability to self-motivate and remain calm and confident in high pressure situations.
• Empowerment of children with emotional and behavioural challenges, helping them navigate the curriculum with confidence.
• A rich experience working with diverse learners, including those with ASC and SEMH.
• A team player who is happy to get stuck in and make a difference.
• Devotion to driving progress and elevating academic achievement.
• Proficiency in providing personalized assistance to SEN pupils in both 1:1 and small group settings.
• Experience with sensory integration and break out rooms is beneficial.
• Experience with interventions is beneficial.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Energetic and patient with strong classroom management skills.
• Hold the Right to Work in the UK.
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application through GSL Education.
• Team Teach training or equivalent is highly desirable.
• HLTA applicants welcomed.
• Cover Supervisor applicants welcomed.
