PMLD Teaching Assistant

This excellent PMLD School is a very friendly and extremely successful school for fantastic children and young people aged 11-19 years. As a PMLD Teaching Assistant, you will be working alongside pupils with a range of learning difficulties, including moderate and severe learning difficulties, PMLD and autism, who require some additional guidance from a positive and assertive role model! You will support with their everyday routine and keep them engaged and motivated to learn in the classroom.

Due to career progression, we are looking for passionate, proactive, and dedicated Teaching Assistants who are dedicated to improving the learning opportunities for children and young people.

The PMLD Teaching Assistant role is term time only, up to 35 hours a week, 8.45am to 3.30pm, Monday to Friday (part time hours/up to 5 days will be considered), with opportunities to earn overtime by supporting our children and young people at our after-school club and holiday club provisions.

** This is an ideal position for a Psychology/Criminology graduate who is seeking first-hand experience before pursuing a career as a Prison Liaison Officer, Therapist, Counsellor, Youth Mentor amongst others. **
