Job Description: We are seeking a passionate and experienced Business and Economics Teacher to join a dynamic secondary school in Milton Keynes. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and effective lessons to students in Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, helping them understand the complexities of business and economics in today's global landscape. This role requires a commitment to enhancing student learning and preparing them for various pathways, including further education and careers in business-related fields.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences.
  • Develop schemes of work and lesson plans in line with curriculum objectives.
  • Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment.
  • Use relevant technology to support instruction.
  • Observe and evaluate student performance and development.
  • Assign and grade class work, homework, tests, and assignments.
  • Provide appropriate feedback on work.
  • Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and development.
  • Update all necessary records accurately and completely as required by laws and school policies.
  • Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures.
  • Maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of the school.
  • Participate in department, school, and parent meetings.
  • Communicate necessary information regularly to students, colleagues, and parents regarding student progress and student needs.

Requirements:

  • A recognized teaching qualification in Business Education or related field (PGCE, QTS or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 6 months of teaching experience in the UK education system.
  • Strong knowledge of the current Business and Economics curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills.
  • Energy, enthusiasm, and a passion for teaching.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
