ICT Teacher
Location: York, North Yorkshire
Salary: MPS/UPS: £30,000 - £46,525 per annum
Start Date: September 2024

GSL Education are currently looking to appoint an exceptional ICT Teacher to work at client schools in York, North Yorkshire starting in September 2024.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone wishing to further develop their career and to join a passionate department who aim to provide a positive learning experience for their students. The role will be looking to offer young people an engaging syllabus for ICT. You will be expected to plan as well as mark papers. You must be willing to inspire and promote a love of learning, even in the most challenging of situations.

The successful candidate will:

• A degree in ICT  with a relevant UK teaching qualification namely a PGCE in secondary ICT with QTS
• Foreign qualified instructors assessed by NARIC are welcome to apply
• Relevant teaching experience in a school setting for Years 9 to 12 is required
• Up to date in their field of expertise with the capability to foster curiosity and interest for the subject
• Strongly committed to pupil welfare
• Strong command of the curriculum and good behavior management skills; able to meet deadlines
• Willingness to attend twilight CPD and parent’s evenings when required.
• Hold an enhanced Child Workforce DBS registered with the update service or be willing to apply a for a new one through GSL Education.
