Principal Resourcing are seeking to recruit a kind and supportive Teaching Assistant to work within one of our friendly partnership Primary Schools based in Kirklees, West Yorkshire.

The full-time teaching assistant role is expected to commence April 2024 and will provide ongoing support for pupils across the Year 4 Classroom, there is potential of a permanent role to meet the needs of the school. You will work under the instruction and guidance of the Class Teacher to assist with the management of pupils in the classroom during delivery of lesson input and learning activities.

You may be required to carry out work in the classroom and outside the main teaching area as a Teaching Assistant to meet the needs of the pupils in your care, therefore you must be confident working independently and display strong behaviour management skills.

You can expect to earn up to £100 per day for this role depending on experience.

Skills and attributes:

• Experience supporting children at KS2
• Cache Level 3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent experience in a similar setting is desirable
• KS2 SATs experience is advantageous
• Empathy, patience and the drive to make a difference
• An observant and responsive approach
• A positive, energetic and enthusiastic attitude to motivate pupils
