£85 - £100/day Excellent weekly pay!

We are working with a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Telford, dedicated to providing exceptional education and support to students within the KS3/4 key stage. The PRU is committed to helping students reintegrate into mainstream education or thrive within the PRU environment, ensuring every student achieves their full potential through a focus on positive development and opportunities.

About the Role: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant with a strong focus on pastoral care to join our team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing support to students in both academic and pastoral aspects, contributing to their overall well-being and success within our PRU community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualised support to students, addressing both academic and pastoral needs.
  • Assist in the implementation of behaviour management strategies to foster positive behaviours and attitudes among students.
  • Support students with their social and emotional development, helping to build resilience and self-esteem.
  • Collaborate closely with teachers and other staff members to ensure the holistic needs of students are met effectively.
  • Contribute to the creation of a nurturing and inclusive learning environment within the PRU setting.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with students in an educational setting, preferably within a PRU or similar environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate nature, with a genuine desire to support the well-being of students.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students.
