Curriculum Development Teacher Trainer - Commitment to a 1-year fixed-term contract, with the possibility of a funding extension.

My client has been providing vital support to homeless young adults aged 18-25 since February 2017. Their mission is to assist young individuals in taking their first steps towards securing a home and employment opportunities.
Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Curriculum Development Teacher to join our team in Bradford, North West UK. This role is ideal for individuals with a background in teaching who are looking to transition away from the school environment and make a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable young adults. If you have experience working with children or young adults with complex needs and a passion for developing and organising learning activities, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive teaching and learning support to complex young adults aged 18-25
  • Develop and organise learning activities designed to meet intended learning outcomes, tailored to the needs of young individuals.
  • Design resources and deliver educational workshops aimed at enhancing essential life skills, including numeracy and literacy.
  • Utilise teaching expertise to deliver educational sessions at a foundation level, ensuring accessibility and inclusively for all participants.
  • Liaise with external stakeholders, including awarding bodies and educational institutions, to enhance learning opportunities for young people.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of support provided, adhering to organisational guidelines and standards.


Essential Requirements:

  • Teaching qualification such as PGCE/QTS/PTLLS.
  • Ability to design resources and deliver teaching at a foundation level.
  • Understanding of awarding bodies and curriculum frameworks.
  • Experience teaching Maths and English
  • Experience in SEND or Pupil Referral Units is advantageous but not essential.
  • Passion for supporting young individuals with complex needs and facilitating their transition towards stability and independence.
  • Flexibility to work Monday to Friday; remote work is not offered.
  • Office-based role located in Bradford.
  • Commitment to a 1-year fixed-term contract, with the possibility of funding extension.
