Accelerate Teaching is seeking a dedicated and passionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join our team at a thriving Secondary School in Bradford. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support and assistance to students with SEND, both in and out of the classroom, to help them achieve their full potential.
  • Work closely with teachers and other staff members to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and tailor learning activities to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported.
  • Assist with the assessment of students' progress and contribute to the planning and delivery of differentiated lessons.
  • Encourage independence and promote the development of essential life skills among students with SEND.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with individuals with SEND is essential.
  • A genuine passion for supporting the educational and emotional development of students with diverse needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/carers.
  • Patience, empathy, and resilience in challenging situations.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in supporting individuals with SEND would be advantageous.
