SEN Learning Support Assistant

Milk Education are working in partnership with a special school located in Tower Hamlets who are seeking for a motivated Learning Support Assistant to support children with SEND.

The successful candidate will be working closely with pupils and staff to assist pupils in communication, to collaborate in teams and to continuously learn and function in a data-rich society.

About the role-

* Attending to pupils personal needs and implementing related personal programmes, including social, health, physical hygiene and welfare matters

* Working with the class teacher and Inclusion manager to support the implementation of person centered planning and targets for SEND children

* Liasing with appropriate external SEND or health professionals to ensure that advice on provision for individual SEND children is effectively implemented

* Promoting the inclusion and acceptance of all children.

The ideal candidate will have-

* Self-motivation, enthusiasm and a passion for learning

* Knowledge and understanding of pupil with social and emotional difficulties and challenging behaviours

* Excellent communication skills (clear written and spoken English)

* Knowledge of Microsoft Software

* The ability to establish good relationships with children, acting as a role model and being aware of and responding appropriately to individual needs.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a trial, followed by a formal interview.
