Learning Support Assistant

The role
Milk Education are a 5 star rated education recruitment agency. We have partnered with an Ofsted rated ‘good’ primary school in the BL8 area. The school are looking to appoint a Learning support assistant to start with them as soon as possible to the end of the academic year on a full time basis across KS2. This is a great opportunity for those who are unqualified and passionate about making a difference in education. You will be working on a one-2-one basis within the classroom with pupils who require additional support with their learning.

Requirements

To be considered for the position of a Learning support assistant you must:

* You must have transferable skills that will well in education
* Be passionate about supporting with pupil progression
* Be willing to get an enhanced DBS on the update service through us here at Milk Education.

Specific duties and responsibilities

* Be confident in providing specific support to pupils depending on their individual needs and implement strategies to support pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties
* Model, within the class, support strategies that will encourage and develop appropriate behaviour in a variety of settings i.e. with individuals and group/whole class
* Model group-based activities that will develop this pupil’s problem-solving, listening, and social skills
