We're seeking a motivated and committed Geography Teacher to join our team of educators in Preston, catering to students in KS3 and KS4. The daily pay rate for this position ranges between £140.00 - £220.00.

As a Geography Teacher for secondary schools, your job is crucial in providing top-notch geography education. You'll help students understand Earth's landscapes, while igniting a love for exploration and environmental care. Your goal is to create exciting lessons that suit everyone, helping students succeed academically and become well-informed citizens of the world.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to subject development by producing, reviewing and updating curriculum plans and schemes of work
  • Strong knowledge of the curriculum
  • Punctual and reliable
  • Teach classes allocated and provide a well planned challenging, purposeful learning environment
  • Develop approach to self - directed learning, use technology to support learning
  • Use assessment data to inform lesson planning
  • Set homework and mark promptly
  • Ensure a high quality of teaching and learning takes place
  • Deal with immediate problems/emergencies according to school policy and procedures
  • Respond to questioning

Personal attributes:

    • You will have a genuine passion for teaching
    • Experience up to key stage 3/4
    • QTS/PGCE equivalent
    • Be flexible and committed
