TeacherActive are looking for Teaching Assistants in Derby and Nottingham to have the opportunity to work in a variety of Primary schools on a full-time, part time or day-to-day basis. We build great relationships with our schools and support staff so we can find the best placements for you.

We are looking for Teaching Assistants to cover from Early Years to Key Stage 2 supporting children in with their education. This is a great chance to gain experience.

The Successful Teaching Assistant / TA will:

• Good classroom management skills
• Ability to work alongside a classroom Teacher
• Capability to build positive relationships with children

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide support in the classroom, assisting the class teacher with delivering engaging and effective lessons across a range of subjects and year groups.
• Assist with classroom management, behaviour support, and maintaining a positive learning environment.
• Build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents/carers to support the overall learning community.
• Follow school policies and procedures, including safeguarding protocols and health and safety guidelines.
• Complete administrative tasks as required, such as preparing resources, maintaining records, and supporting assessments.
