Role Overview: As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the educational and personal development of students with SEN. You will work closely with qualified teachers and other support staff to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every student can thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one support to students with SEN, assisting them with academic tasks and personal care as needed.
  • Assist in the implementation of education health and care plans (EHCPs) and behaviour management strategies.
  • Support classroom activities and facilitate student engagement through tailored interventions.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, promoting their social and emotional well-being.
  • Collaborate effectively with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to meet the diverse needs of students.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with individuals with SEN, preferably in an educational or care setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and colleagues.
  • Compassion, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting the learning and development of children with SEN.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to respond to the evolving needs of students and the school environment.
  • An Enhanced DBS or the willingness to get one.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK is essential.
