If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join a dedicated school as a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) at a school in Rugby, Warwickshire.

Job Description: As a SEN TA, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and social development of their students. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing one-on-one support to students with autism in classroom settings.
  • Assisting the teaching staff in implementing tailored learning plans for individual students.
  • Supporting students with social interaction and communication skills development.
  • Assisting with behaviour management strategies and maintaining a positive learning environment.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including teachers, therapists, and parents, to ensure the holistic development of each student.

Requirements:

  • A background in psychology, criminology, or relevant field is preferred.
  • Experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is highly desirable.
  • Previous experience as a prison guard or in a similar role is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and adapt to the evolving needs of students.
