To ensure that every student receives the best possible education and develops into a responsible and active member of the community, GSL Education are seeking a SEMH Teaching Assistant in Leicester. You will be assisting students at our client school who may be a little more vulnerable. In supporting pupils to create an environment where everyone can grow and develop, you will be part of creating lifelong learners and getting pupils back on track.
 
The role requires:

1. The dedication to treating each child as an individual and appreciating each student's potential in order to assist them in overcoming obstacles and enabling them to thrive both academically and personally.
2. A desire to provide memorable experiences and secure spaces both within and outside of the classroom and an innovative and forward-thinking attitude.
3. Supporting the class teacher conduct the class on a daily basis in all areas.
4. Giving students learning help in both group and one-on-one settings.
5. A thorough understanding of resources and work-flow methods, as well as a variety of behavior control strategies.

 
The applicants must meet the following requirements for this particular role:

1. Enhanced DBS Certificate or willing to complete one.
2. Have the right to work in the UK.
3. A strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection
4. Be flexible, energized, and excited about dealing with young people from diverse backgrounds.
5. Have a love for supporting young children with particular behavioral issues and compassion, drive, vision, and drive.
