Salary: £90 - £120 per day

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:15 - 15:30

We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Sports Assistant to join our team at Veritas Education supporting Secondary Schools in Barnsley. As a Sports Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of sports programs and promoting physical activity among students.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting in the planning and delivery of sports sessions and activities.
• Providing support and guidance to students during sports sessions.
• Ensuring the safety and well-being of students at all times.
• Setting up equipment and resources for sports activities.
• Promoting teamwork, fair play, and sportsmanship among students.
• Assisting with the organization of sports events and competitions.
• Encouraging participation in extracurricular sports clubs and activities.

Requirements:

• Passion for sports and physical education.
• Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Enthusiasm and a positive attitude towards promoting physical activity.
• Relevant sports coaching qualifications or certifications (desirable but not essential).
