Location: Barnsley, South Yorkshire

Salary: £90-£120 per day (dependent on experience)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:15-15:30

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Sports Coach to join our team at Veritas Education working across Secondary Schools in Barnsley. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging sports sessions, fostering teamwork, and promoting a healthy and active lifestyle among students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver dynamic sports sessions tailored to the needs and abilities of students.
• Develop and implement age-appropriate training programs to enhance students' physical fitness and skills.
• Organize and oversee intra-school and inter-school sports events and competitions.
• Provide constructive feedback and encouragement to students to help them reach their full potential.
• Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to integrate sports activities into the school curriculum.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of students during sports sessions and events.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working as a sports coach or instructor, preferably in an educational setting.
• Relevant qualifications in sports coaching or physical education (e.g., coaching certificates, coaching diplomas).
• Strong knowledge of a variety of sports and the ability to teach fundamental techniques and strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students of all ages.
• A passion for promoting health, fitness, and sportsmanship among young people.
• A valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
