Job Description: Job Duties:

The SEN Assistant Tutor will work with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to provide academic support and assistance in various subjects. Responsibilities include helping students with their coursework, ensuring a positive learning environment, and adapting teaching methods to suit individual student needs.

Required Qualifications:
  • A relevant qualification in Education or Special Education Needs
  • Experience working with students with SEN
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs
Education:

A degree in Education, Special Education Needs, or a related field is preferred.

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a similar role, preferably within an educational setting.

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Understanding of different learning styles and SEN requirements
  • Ability to create engaging and effective learning materials
  • Knowledge of relevant educational policies and procedures
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Additional training or certification in SEN support
  • Experience working with students with specific learning disabilities
Working Conditions:

The role involves working with students in a classroom setting, following school hours. The SEN Assistant Tutor may need to travel between different locations within the South East England region.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
