Team Teach Trained SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant

Position: Team Teach Trained SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant
Location: Ashton-Under-Lyne
Responsibilities:

  • Providing individualised support to a student with SEN, utilising Team Teach strategies to manage behaviour effectively.
  • Assisting the student in accessing the curriculum, promoting engagement in learning activities, and fostering independence.
  • Implementing personalised support plans, including sensory integration techniques and communication strategies.
  • Collaborating closely with the SENCO, teachers, and external professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student support.

Requirements:

  • Team Teach certification is essential.
  • Previous experience working in a SEN setting, supporting students with diverse needs.
  • Ability to effectively manage challenging behaviours and de-escalate situations using positive behaviour support strategies.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with colleagues and external stakeholders.
