The role involves working as a general classroom teaching assistant in a Reception class. Of course, supporting individual pupils as needed is required. As this is a long term position, a commitment to the school and pupils is essential.

Job role

• Supporting in a Reception class
• Working to support the teacher and pupils as required
• Build relationships with the pupils, parents and staff.
• Attend CPD relevant to the role with other teachers/staff.
• 5 full days per week, long-term role until July 2023.

Required skills and experience

• Higher-level teaching assistant (HLTA) qualification, teaching assistant Level 2 or 3 qualification.
• Knowledge of Reception year group expectations
• Experience working in a UK school essential
• A DBS on the update service or issued in the last 12 months.
• Minimum of 2 excellent references required.

The Teaching Assistant role is based at a school in the Stourbridge area and is easily accessible by both car and public transport. Buses run from the surrounding areas of Brierley Hill, Kingswinford, Cradley Heath and Dudley. For those travelling by car the school is reached from the wider Dudley, Sandwell and Worcestershire areas.
