Are you a visionary leader ready to shape the future of language education? GSL Education Kent is actively seeking a highly skilled Head of Department to lead the MFL department at a prestigious school in Gillingham.

As the Head of MFL Department, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring a continuous and enriching linguistic journey for students from their starting point in year 7, guiding them through to mastery at GCSE and beyond. You will lead a growing team of language teachers, fostering excellence in language acquisition and cultural understanding.

The ideal candidate for the Head of MFL Department role will:

  • Have knowledge and understanding of second language acquisition to help all students succeed.
  • Be a highly effective teacher with an exceptional understanding of curriculum design.
  • Be supportive of others and openly share best practises.
  • Embrace a forward-thinking approach to both curriculum intent and implementation, providing carefully sequenced high-quality learning experiences for students.
