An amazing and inspiring Alternative Provision (PRU) in Redbridge are seeking a dynamic, kind-hearted Maths teacher to join their friendly and close-knit team.

The specialised Alternative Provision provides support for children and young people with complex needs, predominantly SEMH and trauma. They believe that all students deserve outstanding care, world-class education and an opportunity to thrive and achieve.

As a SEMH Maths Teacher, you will be supporting students with SEMH, inspiring and motivating them to obtain meaningful outcomes, raise achievement levels and improve self-esteem. You will engage students with exciting lessons, fostering their mathematical abilities and contributing to their academic development within a calm and purposeful environment.

This is a great opportunity for a passionate Maths Teacher to support and challenge SEMH students, encouraging them to go beyond their personal limitations and self-beliefs.

Job Description – SEMH Maths Teacher

· Maths Teacher in an alternative school provision (PRU)

· Supporting children with challenging behaviour, SEMH and medical needs

· Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons that meet the needs of all students

· Inspire and motivate students

· Full-time

· Permanent contract (from September)

· ASAP start

Person Specification – SEMH Maths Teacher

· Qualified Teachers - Must have UK QTS

· Suitable for Primary or Secondary trained teachers

· Experience of SEN or SEMH is essential, especially ASD, SEMH needs and challenging behaviour

· Strong behaviour management skills

· Committed, resilient and adaptable

· Passionate about making a difference for students with SEMH

· Flexible with age groups

· Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team

· Creative and innovative

· Kind-hearted and caring
